SAMANTHA O'SULLIVAN

CBT & INTEGRATIVE PSYCHOTHERAPIST

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is an integrative therapist?

Simply put, I integrate a range of therapies. From person centred, existential, and more modern therapies like CBT.

What is CBT good for?

CBT can help in a variety of situations. It is particularly good for Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), depression, phobias and addictions. It helps clients understand the thoughts and feelings that in turn influence their behaviours. Together, we can make a plan that encompasses taking steps chosen by you, that you are ultimately comfortable doing. This is great for clients who like to see measurable and tangible results.

What are the fees?

My normal fee is €50.00 per session, however this can be negotiated if required.

How long are the sessions?

Sessions are 50 minutes long. If you are late for any reason, the session will still end 50 minutes after the scheduled time.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel a session, I do ask for 24 hours notice. If the session is cancelled within the 24 hour period, then the missed session must be paid for at our next appointment. However, I understand that emergencies happen, so this may be waived at my discretion.

Where are you located?

I am located in Plunkett Chambers, opposite the Oliver Plunkett bar. Please note, the room is located on the top floor of the building, which has no elevator.

How can I make an appointment?

You can call or text 087 708 4416. Alternatively, you can email info@corkcitytherapy.ie or fill in the enquiry form on the Contact page. I aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours, where possible.
